Bina Nawachhe Shrestha (Nepali: बिना नवाछे श्रेष्ठ) (born on 15 October 1974) is a Nepalese FIFA Assistant Referee and AFC Elite Assistant Referee who has been professionally officiated in FIFA Women’s Olympic Football Qualifying Round. She is also the former athletic and football player who represent her country Nepal to National and International Championships. In 1999 she won the two-bronze medal at the 8th South Asian Game in athletic category which was held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Shrestha holds the record for the first time in the history of Nepal to officiated as referee in FIFA Women’s Olympic Football Qualifying Round. Being committed in this field Ms. Shrestha present long duration of time as a professional player since 1988 and got other numerous titles cautiously from National Assistant Referee to FIFA Assistant Referee and AFC Elite Assistant Referee till date within the mother land and in foreign land (Portugal, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, India) as well.
Bina is one of the four lucky sports person who represent Nepal and attended as a guest in National Cadet Corps (NCC) in 1990 on the occasion of Republic Day in India. She is from National Cadet Corps 15th Batch.
Due to her hard work and determination she has been awarded with “SUPRABAL GORKHA DAKSHIN BAHU (5th)” prize by Late His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in Kathmandu in 1999, AMBASSADOR for PEACE Title Award by Universal Peace Federation, Krishna Mohan Nudup Smriti Award for the Best Police officer in 2007 by Krishna Mohan Nudup Pratisthan, Rupak Smriti BEST WOMEN’s REFEREE Award (Motorbike and 10,00,000 Cash Prize ) From Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli in 2016 are some of her honourships for his dedication.
Shrestha started to participate in athletics at the age of thirteen and won numerous medals. She has gone through various national game and got the remarkable position with impressive participation within the country. With his own goal and determination, he went through different championship. She has Gold medal Hat-trick in 30th National Games in 1993 held in Pokhara. She has started to play from official team Nepal Police Club and set the record of winning 4 gold medals in a season of the 31st National Games in 1994 which was held in Birjung, Nepal. She won two Gold, two Silver and a bronze medal in 4th National Games in 1998 held in Nepaljung, Nepal. In 2000 and 2003 she won three Silver and a Gold medal in 33rd National Games and 34th National Game held in Kathmandu. In 2006 she won two Gold and two Silver medals in 35th National Games held in Kathmandu as well.
She has been officiated as referee in 2nd SAFF Women's Football Championship – Colombo, Srilanka 2012, 4th SAFF Women’s Championship (Final Match) – Siliguri, India 2016/2017, SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship (Final Match) – Bhutan, Thimpu 2018, AFC Under 19 Women’s Championship 2019 Qualifiers – Vietnam, Honai 2019, 30th SEA Games (Third place match) – Philippines, 2019 etc. are her dedications as referee. In 2013 and 2014 Modern Indian School was participated in Football Tournament under coached by Bina Shrhrestha in Continental Cup International Youth Sports Festival, which was held in Cleveland Ohio, USA.
