Jit Bahadur Bot (Nepali: जित बहादुर बोट) (born 17 January 1994 in Chitwan) is a Nepalese Taekwondo practitioner. He became intently interested in martial arts at an early age and soon found himself in the martial art of Taekwondo. He started training at the relatively late age of twenty-two when he joined the Nepal Police with the additional help of Korean Instructor for Nepal Master Yeongdal Kwon from Korea. This was the starting of a bright career in Taekwondo especially in the Poomsae category. He grabbed two bronze medals in poomsae categories at 2019 South Asian Game held in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Bot rose fast in the Nepalese Taekwondo with outstanding flair and improving latent potential. He won a large number of accolades both nationally and internationally.
His major achievements in National Championships include the 8th Korean Ambassador's Taekwondo Championship, where he brought home a Gold medal in Poomsae and a bronze in single Poomsae in Kathmandu back in 2017. His dominance continued in the year 2018 when he garnered a gold medal in the category of team Poomsae at the 8th National Sports Championship held in Bhairahwa.
He further proved his place at the top by clinching numerous medals at the 9th Korean Ambassador's Championship that was in Kathmandu: in single Poomsae he earned a gold medal and in group Poomsae a bronze medal. Then, in 2021 he continued his winning streak with yet another Gold at the 1st Sailung Virtual Taekwondo National Open Poomsae Championship.
The same continued to shine in the 1st NTA League Championship held in Kathmandu winning the gold medals in both single and team Poomsae events and a bronze in the pair Poomsae. He had also triumphed in the 9th National Games and the 1st National Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in Kathmandu, securing Gold across some of the categories.
In 2023, Bot proved to further improve himself after he dominated the 10th and 11th Korean Ambassador Taekwondo Championships by capturing gold in the single and team Poomsae and a silver in the pair Poomsae categories.
His success was not just limited to Nepal. Internationally, his taekwondo career went on the fast track in 2016 where he managed to secure a silver medal at the 1st Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship. His skill was further acknowledged at the 2019 World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship in Indonesia where he won a bronze medal.
The year 2020 proved very special for Bot as he captured silvers at the Online World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in France and the Lockdown Covid-19 Poomsae Online Video Championship. He also seized bronze at the World Virtual Taekwondo Festival in Portland, USA, and Gold at both the 2nd IOFTC Poomsae Online Video Championship and the Kathmandu International Virtual Taekwondo Poomsae Championship.
His International Success continued when he captured Gold at the 8th Daejeon Embassy Cup International Open Taekwondo Championship and silver at the Daejeon Embassy Cup Seocheon International Open Taekwondo Championship in Korea. He continued his successful streak by taking the current year 2022 online World Police Taekwondo Championship and then in 2023, winning Gold at the Gangwon Seocheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival Championship in the Pair Poomsae category.
Moreover, he has been involved in various international competitions like the World Taekwondo Hanmandang Championship in Pokhara, Nepal in 2015; the Chuncheon Korean Open International Taekwondo Championship in Korea 2017; and a number of online championships in 2020.
Jit Bahadur Bot made a turnaround, from being a late-starter in the game of Taekwondo to being a well-renowned, much-celebrated one. His victories, both nationally and internationally do not only appreciate his person but also add to the mushrooming popularity for and admiration of taekwondo by the people of Nepal. Bot's place in the hall of fame of the sport is guaranteed as long as he competes and prophesies to the talent of the next generation in the discipline.
